  • International Restaurant of the Year - Mezza9 (Grand Hyatt)
  • Italian Restaurant of the Year - Il Lido

Il Lido walked away as the most decorated restaurant for the night (3 Chefs Hats, Best Restaurant Bar, and Italian Restaurant of the Year) and that actually made me more determined to do a review over at that place.

Others in my Gastronomic Wish List includes Morton's The Steakhouse (1 Chefs Hat) and Le Papillon (Order of Merit) - any offer to sponsor me to do a review is still very gladly welcome. I have since included Nogawa in my list after they clinched the Japanese Restaurant of the Year Award.

Although on the list, I have only tried The Line (Shangri-La Hotel), which won the Best Brunch, The China Club (1 Chefs Hat), PS Cafe (Order of Merit) and Banana Leaf Apolo (Order of Merit) recently, I would say this list seems like a pretty good guide for a diner to follow - what about you? How many places you have been to are on the list? Do you think this is a good guide?

Hiya,
luv your Blog!

Any ideas on a great beef/steakhouse in Singapore that does lunches?

Most only do dinners, like Mortons, which BTW is very yummy equally as expensive.

Hi Anon!

Thanks for the compliment.

You can try Prive (Keppel Island), Black Angus (Orchard Parade Hotel) or Angus Steakhouse (Takashimaya) - However they do not come cheap.

Otherwise, if you are looking for budget, you can always go for Aston Specialities (Katong) or even Jack's Place (yes you heard me right) - IMO, I do feel they served decent steak for the price they charged especially during their lunch promotion.
