If you mentioned authentic Ipoh Hor Fun, you probably would be thinking of this or this. And what sets them apart from this (the bastardised version) lies in the Sar Hor Fun (or 沙河粉). Local-produce Hor Fun somehow just doesn’t seem to meet the mark in terms of smoothness and silkiness factor. This is where Tuck Kee steps in to bridge the gap.

I beg to differ, in my humble opinion, Tuck Kee serves perfect Sar Hor Fun. And the price is reasonable if you think about it, Crayfish and Big Prawns. Just think of the hassle in preparing Crayfish. Presentation wise, better than our usual hawker food. The only down side is the location.
Hello there,
Perfect - Nah! But I wouldn't deny the fact that the texture of the Sah Hor Fun is probably one of the best, if not, the best you can find in Singapore. A pity the gravy wasn't able to match it.
Price wise - it seems like there was a huge jump in prices over the past few years - I would bet the large serving to hit $10 very soon.
I know its ingredients are not cheap - but to spend $6.50 and ending up hungry still speaks alot about its proportion served. ;)
